All data sheets: Facade fastening
The Blue-Power system screw fixes the timber substructure of a facade to concrete and masonry - at a distance, without a metal console. It carries both tensile and shear loads, and on an insulated facade the insulation itself takes part of the load.
Two conditions without which the system does not work: the insulation must have a compressive strength of at least 50 kPa at 10 % deformation, and the C24 timber battens a cross section of at least 30 x 50 mm. Softer insulation or thinner battens will not take the shear forces the system is designed for.
The permissible insulation thickness depends on the substrate, not only on the length of the screw - and on this item that is the most expensive mistake. The same 7.4 x 180 mm screw holds 100 mm of insulation in concrete and solid brick, 80 mm in aerated concrete and hollow calcium silicate block, but only 30 mm in vertically perforated brick. Seventy millimetres of difference on a single article number.
The ladder runs to fourteen lengths from 180 to 500 mm, all Ø 7.4 mm with a TX 40 drive. In concrete it covers insulation from 100 to 340 mm, in aerated concrete from 80 to 360 mm, and in vertically perforated brick from 30 to 290 mm. The full length-substrate-insulation table is in the datasheet, downloadable without login.
Blue-Power or EiSYS-2 - which one when. EiSYS-2 has a rotating sleeve under the head, so the facade plane is set after driving; that is the choice for a wall with deviations. Blue-Power has fixed geometry and is simpler where the substrate is even and what matters is carrying the load at a distance.
Blue-Power fixes the battens, not the cladding - the cladding board goes onto the battens with a separate fastener.
Parameters: sizes 7,4 x 180-500 mm, drive TX 40, pack 100 pcs. Article numbers and EAN codes for every size are listed in the table below.
