Bits, driver blades and jigs for Eurotec screws: 25 mm TX bits in sizes TX 10-TX 40 with colour coding, long 50 mm bits up to TX 50, the Drill Tool 50X jig for invisible decking fastening together with its long 82 mm bit, and the EiSYS-2 driver bit. You match the tool to the screw drive and to the depth at which that head sits - and it is the second of these that gets overlooked most often. Datasheets downloadable without login. Which bit for which screw?
Read the drive size off the screw, not off its diameter. The 25 mm bits cover TX 10 to TX 40 and are colour-coded, with the marking staying on the packaging rather than on the bit itself: TX 10 white, TX 15 brown, TX 20 yellow, TX 25 blue, TX 30 red, TX 40 green. Each pack holds a single size, so there is no sorting through an assortment to find the right one.
Twenty-five millimetres is the length for working with a driver without an extension and covers most installations. You reach for the long 50 mm bit when the short one simply does not get there: on decking boards, on facade cladding, and when screwing two boards together with restricted access. The longer shank also reduces the risk of the driver scuffing the board beside the head. The long version covers TX 10 to TX 50 and fits common drivers directly or through an adapter.
Invisible decking: the jig is a set, not a single item
Drill Tool 50X guides the screw at 50°, so not one screw head remains visible on the deck surface. The jig’s spacers hold a 6 mm gap, so board spacing does not depend on eye or on packing blocks. The application range is boards from 21 mm thick and 110-150 mm wide. Whether specific boards are suitable for invisible fastening is a question for their manufacturer - that is their declaration, not ours.
The jig alone is not enough. The set it requires consists of the 50X A2 decking screw 4.2 x 60 mm, the long 50X TX 15 bit at 82 mm, and the 50X step drill 3.3-4.5 mm. We stock the bit and the drill separately because they are wear parts - the drive wears out sooner than the jig body, and a rounded bit starts to damage screw heads. The 82 mm is not arbitrary: the jig guides the bit through its own body, so the usual 25 mm would not reach the head. The TX 15 drive fits the 50X A2 4.2 x 60 mm screws and only those, as other sizes do not run in the guide.
Rear-ventilated facades
The EiSYS-2 driver bit serves the EiSYS-2 screws used on suspended, rear-ventilated facades. If you are installing the EiSYS-2 system it is a working tool rather than an accessory - the adjusting screw needs guidance that an ordinary bit does not provide.
